so here i am in my first ever art show. it was so cool. the 28th annual Celebration of Craftswomen treated me well, showed me the ropes, and left me feeling more validated than ever in the pursuit of an artful life.
what i loved:
*chatting with all the guests. hearing their thoughts. seeing their connection to my art, their initial responses, their questions. their suggestions. i was so curious what the response would be for my first public showing, and i was delighted with it all. as john would call it, i had a perma-grin for pretty much most of the weekend.
*chatting with the other artists who were at the show and all the inside secrets and tips they had to offer.
what i learned:
*a variety of prints, sizes, originals, and cards are a good idea
*to bring snacks
*and a scarf
*that all the hard work is worth it
I just finished updating my website. Please feel free to take a look through my portfolio. I have a couple of originals that are still available, and of course prints. Shipping is 100% free for the remainder of the year on all purchases. And I would be happy to gift wrap.
I am going to settle in for the remainder of the week. John and I have a plan this week that involves dinners at home, a trip to see 007, dog parks, and walks together. We have some catching up to do.
