Take Flight: Discover Your Creative Wings in Tuscany! (a workshop)

(the front our italy postcard, designed by my partner in crime, mati rose.)
This is something Mati and I have been dreaming up for months, and it's finally here. I can't tell you how excited we are to teach together in Italy and how much love and energy and spirit we've put into creating this workshop. We would absolutely LOVE it if you joined us in Tuscany (Tuscany!) for a week of painting + collage workshops, Italian meals, sightseeing, and blissed out conversation. Can you imagine it? This is mondo beyondo dreaming...in the real...for all of us! Details below...

(and the back of our postcard. totally in love with how mati designed this)
***********
Join us for an unforgettable week of creative bliss and discovery as we immerse ourselves in the process of joyful art making. Whether you're a beginner or already an accomplished artist/crafter (or somewhere in the middle), this will be an opportunity for you to explore your creativity and growth in a guided and supported way. We'll not only create one-of-a-kind mixed media paintings, but we'll also reach for the best parts of our creative potential through nurturing conversation, prompts, and art journaling. It'll be a week of making connections with like minded souls as we create side by side, enjoy leisurely Italian meals together, and explore the picturesque hillsides of Cortona -- a city steeped in a rich history of painting and architectural beauty. We'll even take a day trip to Florence where we'll wander through the markets and get inspired by the sights. Can you imagine it? Can you envision yourself feeling refreshed and inspired, ready to play, paint, and explore your creativity in Italy? As two vibrant and inspired painters with an enthusiasm for expression, color, art and travel, we'd love it if you joined us for this once in a lifetime journey to Cortona.

Celebrating the release of Kelly's book (in which Mati is featured as a contributing artist), Taking Flight: Inspiration & Techniques to Give Your Creative Spirit Wings, we'll spend the week creating projects that incorporate our combined knowledge and love for painting and collage. Projects will include everything from patchwork collage paintings, to art journaling, to working with acrylic and oil to create expressive paintings of your own. We’ll show you fun and easy techniques on how to work with various mediums to achieve varying effects from layering to texture to emotion. No matter where you stand in your creativity, we'll meet you where you are, guiding you along the way. It will be a time for you to learn, grow, play, and experience painting in Tuscany! It will be an inspired time. A meaningful time. A week filled with paint, conversation, inspiration, and heart. You won't want to miss it.

Would be great to go to this being a European and all that but unfortunately the Dublin marathon is smack bang right in the middle of it and I've got to run that. :-/
