I will be the first to admit that I am a new reader of your blog. I have been hearing the whispers of my creative potential for many years now and in the past few weeks have felt a glimmer of hope that the door is going to open soon (or perhaps I'M going to open it.) I happened upon your blog a few days ago and immediately went and bought your book. The VERY next day, there was a knock on my door. When I opened the door, the book was there, waiting for me. I ran to look out the window to see who delivered it and the person was driving away...like a little angel dropping off exactly what I needed at exactly the right time. I happen to live in Seattle, so I convinced myself that it was you who dropped it off. :)

I love your collection Kelly! Your display is gorgeous and is perfect for your pictures! I've spent most of the afternoon painting, wiping, rolling, smuding.....a little bit of everything that I've been studying in your book and while it's a little bit of an overkill, it's still quite pretty!! Not too bad for a first time! The one thing I did learn though was that acrylic paint dries quickly and you need to wipe it away shortly after applying it! Live and learn!!!

I just bought and read Taking Flight recently. I loved it~ especially all the personal bits about your journaling. I have kept a journal forever too. It is fun (and quite an experience) to remember my previous thoughts/dreams/goals.
Oneday I will get a review of Taking Flight up on Amazon. I am slow with that even when I Love a book, but I know it is helpful.

I love stationary ~ especially this time of year when it reminds me of how my Mom would buy me a new set to write to all my friends during summer break.

During my adventure to artfest 2008I encounter this women that had this amazing light and energy surronding her, her name was kelly rae roberts ( oh yeah thats you). I was drawn in, so when I got home I started looking up her website and her blog. The more I read the more I see her art work, the more I think we have known each other before or maybe in a former life, who knows? I am so very grateful to find a like soul.
