studio unpacking in progress. yikes!

photo
(really bad iphone photo of a corner of the studio being unpacked)

i am working really hard at trying to get my studio unpacked. it's been such a process - lord have mercy. i'm realizing two things. one: i really want my space to be pretty like my old studio. two: but i really want everything (ephemera, paints, etc) to be out and visible when i'm painting rather than stored away, like how i was creating in the dining room up in seattle. so, i'm trying to bridge the two ideas and get everything out and visible and easily accessible (in a pretty small space) while also making it lovely. it's a challenge and it's a total mess right now! but i'm determined :)

also working on getting my office set up (really looking forward to that!) in a totally separate area as well as the shop inventory/shipping area also in a separate area. lots of biz spaces in our home, but really wanting to keep it close until i know how it's all going to work out with baby at home/working from home.

pps- still really loving the response to the Flying Lessons e-books. if you've written a review/write-up on your blog of the ebooks, let me know as i'm working on a post to feature/link to your recent postings. thank you!
